  • COVID-19 vaccine arrives at Minot

    The 5th Medical Group at Minot Air Force Base will receive doses of the COVID-19 vaccine with intentions to distribute the vaccine on a volunteer basis. Local prioritization follows the Centers for Disease Control and Department of Defense guidance. First priorities will be given to those healthcare personnel, emergency services and public safety personnel (Fire Department and Security Forces). The next priorities are maintaining essential national security and installation functions, those being deployed, and individuals at the highest risk of developing a severe illness from COVID-19 during the initial distribution phase.
  • New Year New Safety Week

    The 5th Bomb Wing Safety Evaluation will be conducting their annual Safety Week starting Jan. 4, 2021 and will continue through Friday, Jan. 8, 2021. Unlike traditional in-person briefings, this year the functional areas of safety will be conducting online briefings three times a day at 9 a.m., 12 p.m., and 3 p.m. on CVR Teams to reemphasize safety for the wing.
  • Airmen of Team Minot- Airman First Class Samantha Blaschke, Military Justice Paralegal

    A1C Samantha Blaschke is a military justice paralegal for the 5th Bomb Wing Judge Advocate. Originally from Maricopa, Arizona, she became a part of Team Minot in March 2019. In Blachke’s position, she is responsible for assisting the wing commanders and first sergeants with legal paperwork.
  • ICBM Airmen receive phone calls from CSAF over the holidays

    U.S. Air Force Chief of Staff, General Charles Q. Brown, made calls to ICBM Airmen on alert during the holidays.
  • Reduce. Reuse. Recycle.

    Reduce. Reuse. Recycle. These are some of the topics spoken about during an interview with two Airmen about an initiative in its infancy at the 742nd Missile Squadron. Recycling has become a hot topic at the 742nd Missile Squadron thanks to 1st Lt Elizabeth Jordan, 740th MS Instructor MMIII, and 1st Lt Kate Mainland, 742nd MS missileer. The recycling team, or “Green Team,” was begun by Jordan, last August, in her own home.
  • Medics-R-Awesome Day

    On Dec. 18, 2020, the 5th Medical Group hosted a “Medics-R-Awesome Day” for the medical professionals at Minot Air Force Base to honor and show appreciation for all that our medical professionals have done in the fight against COVID-19.
  • Omaha Trophy Ceremony

    As a result of the exceptional service and outstanding performance of the 5th Bomb Wing and 91st Missile Wing, both were announced as two of five winners of the 2019 Omaha Trophy. The winners were announced on September 21, 2020 and Rear Admiral William W. Wheeler III, USSTRATCOM Chief of Staff visited Team Minot on December 15, 2020 to congratulate the base and present the awards to the wings.
  • ESC Grand Opening

    The 5th Force Support Squadron is excited to announce the grand opening of Minot Air Force Base’s ESC on Sunday, December 20th starting at 1:30PM! The ESC, or Entertainment Social Center, is the new hub for virtual and tabletop gaming located right inside Bomber Bistro and open to ages 18 & up. Featuring state of the art gaming PCs and consoles, board games, a theater viewing area, and more, the ESC is definitely the place to be! Awesome prizes and giveaways will be held throughout the day, so you definitely won’t want to miss out on the unveiling of this new space!
  • Minot’s Heroes behind the Mask

    As COVID-19 restrictions reach into the ninth month, operations at Minot Air Force Base have not stopped due to the diligent and innovative efforts of the 5th Medical Group. Throughout 2020, the medical team and augmentees have met the challenges of COVID head on, allowing Team Minot to meet the demands of the mission. The Medical Group has implemented innovative ways to provide medical care and mitigate COVID exposure.
  • Team Minot CMSgt Selects

    Congratulations to the Team Minot senior master sergeants selected for promotion to chief master sergeant! Air Force officials have selected 518 senior master sergeants for promotion to chief master sergeant out of 2,763 eligible for a selection rate of 18.75 percent in the 20E9 promotion cycle.
