  • RDML Wirth, StratCom deputy director, visits MAFB

    Rear Adm. Robert Wirth, J5N, U.S. Strategic Command deputy director, strategic targeting and nuclear mission planning, visits Minot Air Force Base. Wirth visited the 5th Bomb Wing and 91st Missile Wing to meet with wing leaders and interact with Airmen.

  • New wireless headsets improve base operations

    Until recently, 5th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron (AMXS) crew chiefs performing maintenance on the ground used headsets wired into the B-52H Stratofortress to communicate with the crew inside. The wires raised a number of concerns, to include mobility and the price of replacing the wires.

    Stephen Bueschel, 5th Logistics Readiness Squadron property consolidation warehouse operator, has been working as a warehouse operator for three years, and has lived in Minot for over twenty.
