The Air Combat Command F-16 East Demonstration Team will display the awesome capabilities of the F-16 during Northern Neighbors Day 2007 on Sept 8.

Northern Neighbors Day is Minot Air Force Base's free annual open house and air show.

The F-16 East Demo Team performs precision aerial maneuvers, demonstrating the unique capabilities of the Air Force's high performance aircraft. ACC's F-16 Demo Team Members also exhibit the professional qualities the Air Force develops in the people who fly, maintain and support these aircraft.

F-16s are currently flying close air support missions in support of ground troops in Iraq.

The F-16 East Demo Team is located at Shaw Air Force Base, S.C. The team is comprised of a demo pilot, a maintenance team, ground safety observers and narrators. The aircraft is one of the operational fighters from the 20th Fighter Wing, also based at Shaw AFB.

Aerial performances and displays are subject to change.

Base gates open to the public at 9 a.m. Flying activities are scheduled to start at noon and end at 4:30 p.m.
