Northern neighbors day air show

 HAPPENING: August 4, 2018 at Minot Air Force Base, North Dakota

  Featuring the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds.

 Please Be Advised:

  • Air Show guests are reminded that there is increased security on base. Only purses, diaper bags, camera bags, strollers and pop-up chairs will be allowed in the air show area. Personal items should not be left unattended at any time. To ensure safety, all visitors will also be subject to an inspection. Guests are also encouraged to be aware of their surroundings and to report any suspicious persons or activities.
  • Pets (excluding service animals), bicycles, skateboards, roller-blades, alcoholic beverages, glass containers, coolers, knives, box cutters or weapons of any kind are not allowed on the base airfield. There is also a no smoking rule on the flightline (including e-cigarettes), which is strictly enforced.
  • Only DoD ID card holders will be able to deviate from airshow traffic patterns. Please have DoD ID cards handy while traveling on base from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, August 4.

Parking and Traffic Flow

Schedule

Gates open at 9 a.m. Saturday, August 4, 2018.

Performances begin at 12 p.m.

Inbound Gates close at 3:30 p.m.

Exact times for performances throughout the day will be available during the airshow.

Pets

To protect your health, the veterinarian is limiting clinic appointments. Appointments will be canceled one week ahead as necessary. When HPCON decreases to Alpha, we will contact all canceled appointments to take care of you and your pet.

  • Positive SARS-COV-2 testing has been confirmed in 1 cat in China, 1 cat in Belgium and 3 cats in the US as of April 29, 2020. SARS-CoV-2 is the virus that causes COVID-19.
  • There is currently no evidence that suggests pets can be a source of COVID-19 infection for people.
  • Routine SARS-CoV-2 testing in animals is not recommended at this time by the American Veterinary Medical Association.

 

  • Don't let pets interact with other people or animals outside the home.
  • Keep cats indoors when possible.
  • Walk dogs on a leash, maintaining at least 6 ft between others.
  • Avoid dog parks or public places where other people and pets gather.
  • Avoid contact with your pet, including petting, snuggling, kissing, and sharing food, dishes, towels or bedding.
  • Designate a family member to provide care. Please do not abandon your pet.
  • If you must care for your pet, wear a cloth mask face covering and wash your hands before and after contact.
  • 2 weeks of food and medications
  • Medical Records
  • Basic care & fitness items
  • Comfort items

civilian fly-ins

If you are interested in being a civilian fly-in in the upcoming Northern Neighbors Day, please look over our Civilian Fly-in Registration Form and Civil Aircraft Hold Harmless Agreement.

Civilian fly-ins must R.S.V.P. no later than July 23, 2018. We are limited to 20 aircraft, so first to register will be first on the list.
