Tim Rose is a veteran who works on Minot Air Force Base and is the Chief of Information Protection for the 5th Bomb Wing. He is responsible for information security and handles clearances, classified materials as well as working with contractors who have access to classified materials.

Prior to his position as a civilian, he served in the Air Force from 1982 to 2004. Rose joined as a security forces Airmen and his time in service began in Spangdahlem, Germany at Spangdahlem Air Base. “There were 25 people on the team, they did hostage recovery, antiterrorism, and exactly what you usually expect from a SWAT team,” said Rose.

Looking back at his extensive career that brought him all over the world, Rose said, “My favorite thing about serving is travelling. I love travelling, I’ve been to Europe three times.” Even after all his travels,

Rose decided to stay in Minot. He said, “The reason I stayed in Minot for so long is because of this job, I really like my job.”

He began his civilian career at Minot working in Information Protection in 2004 and in 2010 took on his current role as Chief of Information Protection. As far as what the future holds, Rose said he plans on finishing his career here and once he retires he plans to settle somewhere warm.
