Dental Laboratory Technology is both a science and an art. Since each dental patient's needs are different, the duties of a technician are comprehensive and diverse. Technician duties include fabricating fixed and removable prosthesis; such as, crowns, bridges, veneers, retainers, dentures and implants in accordance with the Dentist’s prescription. In some labs, the tech is responsible for oral maxillo-facial reconstruction (eyes, ears, and noses) to aid cancer patients and wounded warriors. The 5th Operations Support Squadron’s Intelligence Flight mission is to provide timely, tailored intelligence support to the 5th Bomb Wing commander, command staff, and aircrews, enhancing mission readiness and ensuring combat execution. The flight of 25 enlisted and 5 officers present intelligence to the 5 BW through briefings, as members of the Intelligence Fusion Cell, Threat Working Group, participating in drafting local exercise intelligence scenarios, and providing direct intelligence support to the 23rd and 69th Bomb Squadrons. The flight also has three dedicated intelligence systems personnel that provide computer support for secret, top secret, and special access programs classified networks.

The Sakakawea Inn, part of the 5th Force Support Squadron at Minot Air Force Base, has sold 17,724 lodging nights on base, and 12,501 off base, for a total of 30,225 in the last year. The Sakakawea Inn and its staff are anticipating the construction of a new lodging building, and renovations that will add an additional 19 rooms.
The Sakakawea Inn, part of the 5th Force Support Squadron at Minot Air Force Base, has sold 17,724 lodging nights on base, and 12,501 off base, for a total of 30,225 in the last year. The Sakakawea Inn and its staff are anticipating the construction of a new lodging building, and renovations that will add an additional 19 rooms.
The Base Library services 46,000 customers a year. Patrons checked out approximately 66,000 books and materials and took 135 exams through the proctor service. The library provided 163 programs and over $1.5 million worth of services at a cost of $240,000 to the Air Force. (Courtesy photo)
