  • 91 MW first reserve alert

    For the first time ever on Oct. 26, 2019, a reserve Airman completed a 24 hour “alert” at a Missile Alert Facility after 60 years of using Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles in the U.S. Air Force.

  • The Healing Process

    It was the stereotypical image of a car accident, the one where cars are frozen in time as their metal noses scrunch back to avoid colliding. Inside the car, glass shards danced in the air as her body was jerked toward the windshield.

  • Crews control

    The sun peaks over the horizon to reveal the icy minefield known as the flight line. Airmen are bundled from head to toe in thermal underwear, thick coveralls, gloves and multiple headgear, but these comforting layers don’t keep them from getting the job done.
