The Grand Forks AFB K9s come to Minot for their veterinarian needs because Grand Forks does not have the necessary assets to regularly maintain the MWDs. During the checkup, the MWDs had their weight, eyes, ears, teeth and their heart rates checked to ensure they are fit to carry out their duties.
