Article 15's for June 2013

MINOT AIR FORCE BASE, N.D. -- In June 2013, the following Minot Air Force Base service members were punished under Article 15 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice:

RANK, UNIT, PUNISHMENT, OFFENSE

1. A senior airman from the 5th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron received a reduction in rank to airman, with reduction below airman first class suspended, forfeiture of $849.00 pay per month for 2 months, with one month suspended, 45 days restriction to Minot Air Force Base, and 45 days extra duty, with 15 days extra duty suspended for two violations of Article 86, AWOL.

2. A senior airman from 5th Civil Engineer Squadron received a reduction in rank to airman, with reduction below airman first class suspended, and a reprimand for two violations of Article 92, Dereliction of Duty and one violation of Article 107, False Official Statement.

3. An airman first class from the 5th Logistic Readiness Squadron received a reduction in rank to airman basic, forfeiture of $758.00 pay per month for 2 months, 45 days restriction to Minot Air Force Base, 45 days extra duty and a reprimand for one violation of Article 112a, wrongful use of marijuana, and one violation of Article 134, Fleeing the Scene of an Accident.

4. A staff sergeant from the 5th Maintenance Squadron received a suspended reduction in rank to senior airman, forfeiture of $1,201.00 pay per month for 2 months, suspended and a reprimand for two violations of Article 128, Assault.

5. A senior airman from the 5th Munitions Squadron received a suspended reduction in rank to airman first class, forfeiture of $500 pay per month for one month, suspended, 15 days extra duty and a reprimand for one violation of Article 92, Dereliction of Duty and one violation of Article 107, False Official Statement.

6. A technical sergeant from the 5th Operations Support Squadron received a suspended reduction in rank to staff sergeant, forfeiture of $431 pay per month for one month, 45 days extra duty and a reprimand for two violations of Article 107, False Official Statement and one violation of Article 134, Solicitation.

7. A senior airman from the 5th Operations Support Squadron received a reduction in rank to airman, with reduction below airman first class suspended, 45 days extra duty and a reprimand for one violation of Article 107, False Official Statement and one violation of Article 121, Larceny.

8. A senior airman from 5th Security Forces Squadron received a suspended reduction in rank to airman first class, forfeiture of $1,007 pay per month for 2 months, 45 days of extra duty and a reprimand for one violation of Article 92, Failure to Obey a Lawful Order.

9. A senior airman from 5th Security Forces Squadron received a suspended reduction in rank to airman first class, forfeiture of $500 pay per month for 1 month, 45 days extra duty and a reprimand for one violation of Article 92, Dereliction of Duty.

10. A senior airman from 5th Security Forces Squadron received a reduction in rank to airman first class, forfeiture of $949 pay per month for 2 months, suspended, 45 days extra duty and a reprimand for one violation of Article 128, Assault and one violation of Article 134, Drunk and Disorderly.

11. An airman first class from the 5th Security Forces Squadron received a reduction in rank to airman, forfeiture of $849 pay per month for 2 months, suspended, 45 days extra duty and a reprimand for one violation of Article 92, Failure to Obey a Lawful Order.

12. A first lieutenant from the 741st Missile Squadron received forfeiture of $2,246 pay per month for 2 months and a reprimand for two violations of Article 92, Dereliction of Duty, one violation of Article 93, Maltreatment, and one violation of Article 133, Conduct Unbecoming.

13. A senior airman from the 91st Missile Maintenance Squadron received a reduction in rank to airman first class, forfeiture of $1007 pay per month for 2 months, suspended and a reprimand for one violation of Article 92, Dereliction of Duty.

14. A senior airman from the 91st Missile Maintenance Squadron received a reduction in rank to airman basic, forfeiture of $758 pay per month for 2 months, suspended, 30 days restriction to Minot Air Force Base, 15 days extra duty and a reprimand for one violation of Article 107, False Official Statement and one violation of Article 112a, Wrongful use of marijuana.

15. An airman first class from the 91st Missile Maintenance Squadron received a suspended reduction in rank to airman, forfeiture of $400 pay per month for 2 months, with one month suspended and a reprimand for one violation of Article 92, Dereliction of Duty and one violation of Article 134, Drunk and Disorderly.

Along with nonjudicial punishment under Article 15 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice, members who commit misconduct are subject to other adverse actions. This includes Administrative Discharge Actions and Administrative Demotions. Additional misconduct may be met with more severe adverse actions, such as trial by court-martial.
