In August 2013, the following Minot Air Force Base service members were punished under Article 15 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice, demonstrating the Air Force holds its members accountable for their actions:

1. A Staff Sergeant from the 741st Missile Squadron received a suspended reduction in rank to Senior Airman, forfeiture of $1,201 pay per month for two months and a reprimand for one violation of Article 111, Driving Under the Influence.

2. A Staff Sergeant from the 5th Security Forces Squadron received a suspended reduction in rank to Senior Airman, forfeiture of $500 pay per month for one month and a reprimand for one violation of Article 92, Dereliction of Duty.

3. A Senior Airman from the 91st Missile Security Forces Squadron received a suspended reduction in rank to Airman First Class, forfeiture of $500 pay per month for two months, 30 days extra duty and a reprimand for two violations of Article 92, Dereliction of Duty.

4. A Senior Airman from the 5th Maintenance Squadron received a reduction in rank to Airman First Class and a reprimand for two violations of Article 120, Indecent Exposure and one violation of Article 92, Dereliction of Duty.

5. An Airman First Class from the 5th Operations Support Squadron received a reduction in rank to Airman and 30 days extra duty for one violation of Article 92, Dereliction of Duty.

6. An Airman First Class from the 5th Security Forces Squadron received a reduction in rank to Airman, forfeiture of $849 pay per month for two months, suspended, 45 days extra duty and a reprimand for one violation of Article 113, Misbehavior of a Sentinel.

7. An Airman First Class from the 5th Security Forces Squadron received a reduction in rank to Airman, forfeiture of $849 pay per month for two months, suspended, 45 days extra duty and a reprimand for one violation of Article 113, Misbehavior of a Sentinel.

Along with nonjudicial punishment under Article 15 of the UCMJ, members who commit misconduct are subject to other adverse actions. This includes Administrative Discharge Actions and Administrative Demotions. Additional misconduct may be met with more severe adverse actions, such as trial by court-martial.
