US Strategic Commander visits Minot AFB Published Dec. 6, 2013 By Public Affairs Minot Air Force Base Public Affairs MINOT AIR FORCE BASE, N.D. -- Admiral Cecil D. Haney, commander, US Strategic Command, visited Minot Air Force Base, Dec. 2. During the trip, he spoke to base personnel about their vital role at Minot in supporting two legs of the nuclear triad. Haney visited a Missile Alert Facility and Launch Facility, participated in key-turn training, toured a B-52H Stratofortress and visited various other units. A highlight of Haney's visit was an all call, where he spoke to Airmen about the importance of the nuclear deterrence mission and answered their questions.
