Automated Housing Referral Network to expire Published Dec. 19, 2013 By Michelle A. Betz 5 CES/ CEIHH MINOT AIR FORCE BASE, N.D. -- On December 31, 2013, the Department of Defense sponsorship of the Automated Housing Referral Network will expire. Effective January 1, 2014, housing offices will no longer manage rental listings or communicate with members and property owners through AHRN. However, the AHRN website will continue to operate as a commercial entity and registered users will be prompted to review and accept an updated user agreement. The Air Force remains committed to providing members with affordable, adequate housing and will continue to provide referral and relocation services. Housing offices will maintain available rental listings using a government-managed system. Members and their families should contact or visit the military housing office to receive assistance in locating suitable housing. Property managers and landlords should also contact the installation housing office to list available properties. The AF Housing public website, www.housing.af.mil, is still available and provides a venue for members to obtain specific installation information on family, unaccompanied and privatized housing. Please visit this site for contact details for AF housing offices.
