With a record high prescription volume (82K this past fiscal year), the 5 MDG pharmacy provides quality pharmacy services to MAFB's 12.7K beneficiaries. Most important, is the role it plays in the PRP process. All patients are screened for PRP enrollment and pharmacy staff members are acutely aware of the requirements for each PRP member who present for a new or refill prescription. At the end of each duty day, pharmacy PRP records are reconciled and reported back to the PRP clinic to ensure all members authorized a prescription identified themselves as such. In addition, the pharmacy is frequently given a no-notice "go/no-go pill" tasker that it must fit into the workload in order to provide medications to aircrew as quickly as possible. This is usually performed within two hours of notice. The 5 MDG Pharmacy Element is open Monday-Friday from 0730-1630; the pharmacy does not close for lunch.
