SECAF visits Minot Published Jan. 28, 2014 By Minot Air Force Base Public Affairs Minot Air Force Base Public Affairs MINOT AIR FORCE BASE, N.D. -- Secretary of the Air Force Deborah Lee James met with Airmen from the 5th Bomb Wing and 91st Missile Wing at Minot Air Force Base, N.D., Jan. 22, 2014. James toured a variety of training facilities and learned the procedures that are practiced to ensure the safety and security of the nation's nuclear force. James was also able to address more than 1,700 Airmen regarding the future of the Air Force and the nuclear mission at an all-call event hosted at Dock 1. James is the 23rd SECAF and is responsible for the affairs of the Department of the Air Force, including the organizing, training, equipping and providing for the welfare of its more than 690,000 active duty, Guard, Reserve and civilian Airmen and their families.
