Sesame Street USO Tour stops at Minot AFB Published June 17, 2014 By Airman 1st Class Apryl Hall Minot Air Force Base Public Affairs MINOT AIR FORCE BASE, N.D. -- Hundreds of Team Minot family members gathered to watch the Sesame Street USO Experience for Military Families Tour at the Minot Air Force Base theater, June 16-17. The show, which had four separate viewing times, featured Elmo, Grover, Cookie Monster, Rosita and Katie, who is a military child herself. Throughout the show, Katie and the other characters taught the audience, via song and dance, how to handle certain situations military kids go through, such as moving or making new friends. "I like to think of it a live singing and dancing thank-you card that we deliver to all of our troops," said Nicole McClendon, USO tour manager for the Sesame Street USO Experience for Military Families.
