In a joint effort between the 5th Bomb Wing and 91st Missile Wing, an interim solution to the Air Force's 24-hour fitness access initiative was reached, allowing members of Team Minot to enjoy the benefits of the fitness center at all hours.

Beginning July 25, 2014 the McAdoo Fitness and Sports Center will remain open for permanent 24-hour fitness access.

The fitness center remains open to all Minot AFB personnel during normal operating hours. Normal operating hours are 5 a.m. to midnight Monday to Thursday, 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, and 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Sunday and holidays.

Outside of normal operating hours, the fitness center will be limited to military personnel, DoD civilians, retired military personnel and dependents over the age of 18. In order to ensure the safety of our Airmen, the 5th Security Forces Squadron will include the fitness center in their normal patrols.

"Physical fitness is critical to readiness and Airmen resiliency," said Col. Michael Lutton,
91st Missile Wing Commander. "Partnering with the 5th Bomb Wing, 91st Missile Wing Airmen look forward to 24-hour fitness access. With a 24-hour mission, the expanded schedule allows the entire wing to remain fit to fight on schedules that work best for them, their duty positions and families."

"What an opportunity to take care of our Airmen," said Chief Master Sgt. Thomas Stiles, 5th BW Command Chief. "Our Airmen support 24-hour operations and deserve fitness access during the times that work best for their schedules; this is the right thing to do for our Airmen."

During overnight operating hours, patrons will have access to the indoor track, gym, life fitness equipment room, multi-purpose room, cardio room, free weight room and locker rooms.

Airmen should contact their Unit Fitness Program Managers for more information or visit the 5th Force Support Squadron's website (www.5thforcesupport.com) and select the Fitness Center.
