2014 AFGSC Ops Award Winners

The 2014 Air Force Global Strike Command Operations Award winners from the 91st Missile Wing at Minot Air Force Base, N.D., were announced June 19, 2015, by Maj. Gen. Michael E. Fortney, the vice commander of Air Force Global Strike Command, Barksdale Air Force Base, L.A.

"It's my privilege to recognize the award recipients that make the 91st Missile Wing a critical team member of U.S. Strategic Command and AFGSC," said Col. Michael Lutton, commander of the 91st Missile Wing. "Every day our Airmen strive to achieve our Core Values - Integrity, Service and Excellence.  It is fantastic to recognize so many with Major Command-level awards." 

The annual awards are divided into team and individual categories to recognize outstanding men and women in AFGSC for their substantial contributions to the intercontinental ballistic missile mission in 2014.

Team Winners:

· The Col. Lowell F. McAdoo Award for best overall ICBM operations support squadron - 91st Operations Support Squadron.
· The Col. Lee R. Williams Memorial Award for the outstanding missile wing - 91st Missile Wing.
· The Gen. Samuel C. Philips Award for the best overall missile squadron - 741st Missile Squadron.

Individual winners:

· Gen. Thomas S. Power Award for outstanding missile crew - 1st Lt. Victoria A. Fort, missile combat crew commander, and 2nd Lt. Emily K. Gill, deputy missile combat commander, 741st Missile Squadron.
· ICBM Flight Commander of the Year: Capt. Sean A. Guerrero, 742nd Missile Squadron.
· ICBM Instructor/Evaluator of the Year - Category 1: Capt. Joshua J. Grover, 91st OSS.
· ICBM Instructor/Evaluator of the Year - Category 2: Capt. Derek. P Arnholtz, 742nd Missile Squadron.

"I am extremely proud of the Airmen of the 91st Missile Wing that have been recognized and these awards reflect the great work they did in 2014," said Lutton.
