MINOT AIR FORCE BASE, N.D. -- Agencies from across Minot Air Force Base, N.D., came together to host an informational, interactive event for base children and their families called "Hero in Training" July 31, 2015. The event showcased displays from the fire department, security forces squadron, medical group and other base agencies. Children were able to learn about safety procedures at each display and view demonstrations by 5th SFS K-9 handlers, Sparky the fire dog and Scruff McGruff.
