When asked their reasoning for joining the Air Force, many Airmen's respond to travel and see the world, yet when they get stationed state-side they tend to forget about those goals and stay relatively close to their base instead of seeing the world like they planned. That's where the Information Tickets and Travel office comes in.

The ITT office has been open for only a couple of months now and is located at a convenient location for all Airmen.

"We opened February 17, 2016," said Senior Airman Amanda Romo, 5th Force Support Squadron event program coordinator. "We are located in the [base exchange] right between the barbershop and alterations."

ITT not only helps Airmen travel to new place, but also provides special deals and discount on various theme parks and attractions.

"We do a lot of Disney, theme park attractions, airfare, cruises," said Romo. "Any travel arrangements that need to be made we can do that through here. We also have local partnerships as well, such as Medora and the Dakota Territory Air Museum among others."

Romo sees the advantages from an Airmen's perspective of having such a great resource that is the ITT office.

"It's good to get people out and about," Romo said. "We have a lot of Airmen here that think there's nothing to do here but sit in their dorms all day and we want to dispel that rumor and show that there's plenty to go out and do."

Romo goes on to say there is plenty that the ITT office can help with, ranging outside of the Minot and North Dakota area.

"We also have deals on long travel for people that need to go home and see their families," Romo said. "We do the airfare for them. Also people that just want to get away and have a good time with theme parks admissions and discounts we provide, which is always good on an Airman's budget."

Romo feels that the ITT office can be the difference in Airmen's lives on whether or not they get to see the world.

"Essentially we are that driving factor of getting people out and about and traveling," Romo said. "Most people have joined the military in order to see the world and we're here to push people to go do that. We really want to be that ambassador for travel."
