An Airman doesn't have to be a "gym rat" to get in shape. However, it does help to get the basic components of strength training in the safety of the fitness center. This is especially important for year-round fitness in a cold weather environment such as Minot.

If an Airman is working out and feels unsure of how an exercise works or they are having trouble adjusting a machine, they can ask a fitness center employee. That's why they are there!

Some Airmen may be new to a specific type of exercise and  feel a bit intimidated. If so, they can always drop by the Health and Wellness Center and look at the resource library.

Also, any Airman can get a tour of the facility, as well as an introduction to all the different areas of the fitness center. Remember, the McAdoo Fitness Center should feel like a friendly, low-stress place.
