Air Force Birthday ball celebrates MAFB's wings

Sound the pomp and circumstance: Minot AFB prepares to celebrate a milestone. 

The 5th Bomb Wing and the 91st Missile Wing will join in celebration of four decades together at Minot AFB during the Air Force Birthday ball scheduled for Sept. 6 at the Holiday Inn Minot. The event, hosted by the Company Grade Officer s Council, is in honor of the two wings calling Minot AFB home together. The evening begins with a social hour at 6 p.m. and dinner at 7 p.m. 

The guest speaker will be Lt. Gen. Daniel Darnell, deputy chief of staff for air, space and information operations, plans and requirements, Headquarters U.S. Air Force, Washington, D.C. The U. S. Air Force Heartland of America Band's ensemble Night Wing will perform. 

Reserve your seat by Sept. 4 via electronic invitation. On the form, elect if a guest will accompany and select from the meal preferences listed. Group executive officers are collecting payment.
