Quality service with Action Line Published Sept. 23, 2008 Minot Air Force Base Public Affairs MINOT AIR FORCE BASE, N.D. -- Click. The sound you hear when you're holding the phone and the other person has hung up. Not a problem when you expect it, but upsetting when you don't. It's the third time you've called this office about an issue and the third time Airman Snuffy has been rude. You've talked to his supervisor but nothing has been done to resolve the issue. Did you know you have a direct line to the installation commander, Col. Joel Westa? He is committed to resolving issues that have already been worked at lower organizational levels with no solution. "I want to make sure everyone gets the quality of service they deserve," Colonel Westa said. "We've got to do what we can to serve one another and take care of each other." So where do you go when you feel you've exhausted every other avenue? Answer: the Action Line. The Action Line is a communication tool to voice issues and concerns directly to Colonel Westa and can be accessed by e-mailing mafb.actln@minot.af.mil. State the issue or concern, actions already taken to try and resolve it, and as many details as possible. "Your concern will be addressed promptly with the right agency and a response coordinated within five working days," said Tech. Sgt. Marelise Wood, noncommissioned officer-in-charge of base public affairs. "You will hear back directly from Colonel Westa." The Action Line can also be accessed through the Minot AFB Web site: www.minot.af.mil. "As the base's number one source for news and information, the Web site should be people's first stop for upcoming events and activities, general information, links and photos," added Sergeant Wood. For more information on the Action Line, call the base public affairs office at 723-6212. "It's about being responsive to people's needs," Colonel Westa said.
