MINOT AIR FORCE BASE, N.D. -- The 5th Bomb Wing’s mission remains in full operations despite the negative temperatures and piling snow, making this winter the worst North Dakota has seen in more than a decade. The mission of these Airmen, who are the ‘Guardians of the Upper Realm,’ is to provide airpower to anywhere around the world and to deliver a wide range of precision-guided bombs and munitions.
