New public affairs policies and procedures Published March 25, 2009 Minot Air Force Base Public Affairs MINOT AIR FORCE BASE, N.D. -- To better serve our customers, the Public Affairs office at Minot Air Force Base has gone through some re-structuring. The following information is provided for our customers to ensure continued base support. Customer Service Hours of Operation: Monday through Thursday 7:30 to 11:00 a.m. & noon to 3 p.m. Friday 7:30 a.m. to noon The customer service number is: 723-6244 Requesting Studio Support: The Studio is open during customer service hours and provides the following services: Portrait/Head &Shoulders Photos: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday Full Length Photos: Thursday Passport Photos: Friday Public Affairs Studio Documentation supports Official Portraits for the following events: - Command Photos - Annual/Quarterly Award Winner/Nominees - Special Duty Photos Please contact the customer service at 723-6244 to schedule or cancel a studio appointment. If you cannot make an appointment for the specific day and times listed above, please talk with the customer service representatives to schedule an alternate time. Arrive 10 minutes early to allow for proper preparation. Customers arriving after their scheduled time will wait or be rescheduled as customers arriving in time for their studio session will have priority. Please know what type, size, and quantity of photo(s) you require prior to arrival. Requesting Photographic Support: Please call the customer service at 723-6244 a minimum of 24 hours prior to event to schedule photographic support. You will need to provide the following information: - Your name, Rank, Duty Extension - The event you need documented - Date, time, and location of the event - Any other pertinent information to assist the photographer (i.e. the photographer need a line badge, escort, be meeting a POC, etc.) Official Photographic Support includes: - Retirement ceremonies - Commander's Calls for group level and above - Promotion ceremonies for 0-6 and above - Graduation ceremonies For all other photographic support inquiries (i.e. story ideas, exercises, or any other events occurring on base) please contact customer service. For any video documentation support inquiries, call DSN 453-3070. For questions in regards to public affairs, call the customer service at 723-6244. They will direct the call as needed. For any inquiries about road conditions, call the Minot Hotline at DSN 453-1190 or commercial at 723-1190.
