Night Wing to kick off Northern Neighbors Day Published July 9, 2009 By Tech. Sgt. Linda Miller Minot Air Force Base Public Affairs MINOT AIR FORCE BASE, N.D. -- United States Air Force Heartland of America Band, Night Wing will be performing here to kick off Northern Neighbors Day during a hangar party here July 17 (see below for details). This performance is available for all those with base access. There will be a steak dinner available for purchase and promises to be a fun-filled festive night. Wednesday and Thursday before Night Wing will visit the communities of Mohall and Berthold. Their music stretches from the Top 40 pop & country hits of today to popular rock-n-roll classics. Whether for a military function, community concert or a high school assembly, Night Wing inspires audiences to increased patriotism through their unique vocal blend and amazing musicianship while raising awareness of our expeditionary Airmen serving around the globe. Night Wing has shared the stage with country singers Neil McCoy, Jo Dee Messina, Jollie Edwards, Jessica Andrews and the Beach Boys among others. The group also gained national recognition when they appeared on The Nashville Network's famous "Nashville Now" reaching a viewing audience of millions. Audiences across the country are praising Night Wing and eagerly await their return. Night Wing honorably represents more than 325,000 Air Force professionals around the world who diligently watch over the skies protecting and defending all those who cherish freedom.
