STARBASE graduates 50th class

The 5th Mission Support Group deputy commander came as a guest speaker to addresses the graduates and parents of N.D. STARBASE's 50th class at North Plains Elementary School here Jan. 29. The class were students actually from the school and children of base personnel. Matt Balas, STARBASE director, said the class scored an average of 96 percent on their post test and had perfect attendance.

STARBASE teaches students in grades five and six the importance of math, science and technology through "hands on, minds on" learning.

"Dreams plus action equal reality," Balas said. "You can do anything and it starts now."
