MAFB conducts exercise Published March 26, 2010 Minot Air Force Base Public Affairs MINOT AIR FORCE BASE, N.D. -- Minot AFB conducted a massive accident response exercise with a simulated incident primarily at the McAdoo Sports and Fitness Center March 26. During the course of the exercise, numerous safety and security procedures were put into place. As a result of this, all entry gates to the base were closed for a short amount of time. Multiple facilities on base were also placed on lockdown in order to increase the realism of the exercise inject. The purpose of the exercise was to test the base's readiness level in response to identify and control a threat, and coordinate a response effort. The base has resumed normal operations at this time.
