DoD's Retroactive Stop Loss Special Pay deadline draws near

MINOT AIR FORCE BASE, N.D. -- The Department of Defense is launching a push this week to remind service members and veterans who may be eligible for Retroactive Stop Loss Special Pay to submit their claim before the October 21st deadline, which is less than 3 months away.

DoD and the Services have conducted extensive outreach campaigns using all mediums of communication, and would like to see more service members who are eligible claim this benefit, which on average has amounted to a $3700 payout.
