Airmen and their families are invited to attend the 12th Annual Fall Festival here, scheduled for Sept. 25 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Base Exchange parking lot.

"It's a great way to get all of the families and Airmen together on base for some fall fun," said Ashley Kirsch, head Fall Festival coordinator and key spouse. "It's also a great way to raise money for other morale-building events like Christmas parties, family nights at the bowling center and welcoming and going-away gift baskets."

Air Force Global Strike Command Airmen and their families can expect to see a wide variety of activities to participate in this year's festival.

Pumpkin-bowling, face and hair painting, creating balloon animals and scarecrow-making are among some of the activities planned for the day.

"Scarecrow-making is a pretty popular activity," said Mrs. Kirsch. "Lots of people in the past have made scarecrow families and used them as decoration on their front lawns. This year, people can even buy scarecrow 'bling' to decorate their scarecrows."

Scruff 'the crime dog' McGruff, is also scheduled to be in attendance to assist kids with finger printing. Baked goods, salsa, corn stalks and an assortment of crafts are all planned to be available for purchase as well.

The 741st Gravelhauler's Association is sponsoring the festival this year, along with the help of several squadrons within the 91st Missile Wing.

With continued success, the festival is expected to continue as an annual event.

In the event of inclement weather, the festival is scheduled to be held in the 91st Security Forces Group large vehicle maintenance bay.
