Last week, a group of Airmen reported their issued military gear including, vests, helmets, gas mask's among other items, stolen from their personal vehicles parked overnight at a Minot apartment complex. Their vehicles were secured, but gear was visible from outside. The stolen items were reported to Minot Police Department. In order to prevent the theft of valuable military items, remember to practice crime prevention habits, and contact law enforcement to report theft on suspicious activity.

Crime Prevention Tips:

- Always keep belongings secure and out of plain view.

- If anyone or anything seems suspicious, immediately notify authorities.

- OFF base: Minot Police Department 852-0111, CRIMESTOP (provide anonymous tips) 852-7463.

- ON base: Minot AFB Law Enforcement Desk 723-3096, CRIMESTOP 727-STOP (7867).
- For emergencies dial 911

Due to the fact that Minot Air Force Base is currently in Force Protection Condition Bravo, this indicates an increased and more predictable threat, it's important all base personnel be more aware of their surroundings and report suspicious activity. Finally, remember force protection is everyone's responsibility!
