Emergency shelter for DoD personnel affected by flood Published May 31, 2011 Minot Air Force Base Public Affairs MINOT AIR FORCE BASE, N.D. -- Minot Air Force Base is offering shelter to Department of Defense employees who are affected by the Minot flood evacuation. DoD employees are encouraged to seek shelter at Minot AFB in order to alleviate the anticipated influx of displaced civilians seeking shelter in the City of Minot. Those seeking shelter must have current DoD identification to enter the installation. Reception of displaced personnel will be at the Airman and Family Readiness Center and they can be reached at 723-3950. For after duty hours displaced personnel can contact Command Post at 723-3101. DoD personnel are encouraged to seek shelter with family and friends as available prior to considering Minot AFB as emergency shelter. No pets are allowed. Pet arrangements may be made through Souris Valley Animal Shelter at 852-6133 and Maysa Arena 857-1544. Kennels and food are required.
