MINOT AIR FORCE BASE, N.D. --  Nonjudicial punishment, also known as an Article 15 punishment, provides commanders with an essential and prompt means of maintaining good order and discipline and promotes positive behavior changes in servicemembers without the stigma of a court-martial conviction. Twenty-five Minot Airmen received Articles 15 during the month of May. Punishment is determined on a case by case basis.

1. An airman first class from the 5th Civil Engineer Squadron received a reduction in rank to airman for violating Article 92, minor in consumption.

2. A senior airman from the 5th CES received a suspended reduction in rank to airman first class, forfeiture of $176.00 and six days extra duty for violating Article 107, making a false official statement.

3. An airman first class from the 5th CES received a reduction in rank to airman and a reprimand for violating Article 92, minor in consumption and Article 134, entering a bar under the age of 21.

4. An airman first class from the 5th CES received a suspended reduction in rank to airman and a reprimand for two counts of violating Article 91, insubordinate conduct toward a noncommissioned officer.

5. An airman first class from the 5th Force Support Squadron received a suspended reduction in rank to airman, forfeiture of $250.00 for two months and a reprimand for violating Article 92, dereliction of duty and Article 134, communicating a threat.

6. A staff sergeant from the 5th Medical Operations Squadron received a reduction in rank to senior airman and a reprimand for four counts of violating Article 92, dereliction of duty.

7. An airman first class from the 5th Munitions Squadron received a reduction in rank to airman and a reprimand for violation Article 112, drunk on duty.

8. A staff sergeant from the 5th Security Forces Squadron received a reduction in rank to senior airman and a reprimand for violating Article 111, drunken operation of a vehicle.

9. An airman first class from the 5th SFS received a reduction in rank to airman, 10 days extra duty and a reprimand for violating Article 92, dereliction of duty.

10. An airman first class from the 5th SFS received a reduction in rank to airman, 10 days extra duty and a reprimand for violating Article 92, failure to obey lawful order.

11. An airman first class from the 5th SFS received a reduction in rank to airman, forfeiture of $822.00 and a reprimand for violating Article 112a, wrongful use of marijuana.

12. An airman first class from the 5th SFS received a suspended reduction in rank to airman, 10 days extra duty and a reprimand for violating Article 86, failure to go.

13. An airman first class from the 5th SFS received a reduction in rank to airman, forfeiture of $822.00 and a reprimand for violating Article 112a, wrongful use of marijuana.

14. An airman first class from the 5th SFS received a reduction in rank to airman and a reprimand for violating Article 92, dereliction of duty.

15. An airman first class from the 5th SFS received a reduction in rank to airman, forfeiture of $822.00 and a reprimand for violating Article 92, dereliction of duty and Article 112a, wrongful use of marijuana.

16. An airman from the 5th SFS received a suspended reduction in rank to airman basic and a reprimand for violating Article 92, dereliction of duty.

17. An airman from the 5th SFS received a reduction in rank to airman basic, forfeiture of $733.00 and a reprimand for violating Article 92, failure to obey lawful order.

18. An airman from the 5th SFS received forfeiture of $822.00 for violating Article 86, absence without leave.

19. A senior airman from the 91st Missile Maintenance Squadron received a reduction in rank to airman first class and a reprimand for violating Article 92, dereliction of duty.

20. A senior airman from the 91st Missile Security Forces Squadron received a reduction in rank to airman basic suspended below airman, restriction to Minot Air Force Base, North Dakota for 45 days for two counts of violating Article 86, failure to go Article 92, failure to obey a lawful order and Article 107, false official statement.

21. An airman first class from the 91st MMXS received a reduction in rank to airman basic suspended below airman, 20 days extra duty and a reprimand for violating Article 92, dereliction of duty.

22. A senior airman from the 91st MSFS received a reduction on rank to airman suspended below airman first class and a reprimand for violating Article 78, accessory after the fact.

23. An airman first class from the 91st MSFS received a suspended reduction in rank to airman and a reprimand for violating Article 92, failure to obey lawful order.

24. An airman first class from the 791st Missile Security Forces Squadron received a reduction in rank to airman, forfeiture of $500.00 and a reprimand for two counts of violating Article 134, soliciting and buying stolen goods.

25. An airman first class from the 791st MSFS received a reduction in rank to airman basic for violating Article 92, dereliction of duty and Article 111, drunken operation of a vehicle.
