Minot AFB golfers' opinions sought Published Aug. 24, 2011 5th Force Support Squadron MINOT AIR FORCE BASE, N.D. -- Headquarters Air Force Services has launched its second annual golfer survey at 71 courses worldwide. Designed by the National Golf Foundation, the survey gives Minot AFB golfers a chance to provide valuable feedback about the base course. "We ran this survey in 2007 to determine what was most important to the golfers here at Rough Rider Golf Course," said Shane Larson, 5th Force Support Squadron Rough Rider Golf Course manager. "The survey results are important not only to us, but to Air Force-level officials as well, because they develop programs and guide the direction of Air Force golf." Larson added the feedback received from golfers in the 2007 survey led to a submission of a NAF small project to update the club house. They partnered with Air Combat Command, at the time, to invest $325,000, in a complete renovation of the club house with all new furnishings.
