Courts-Martial results Published Aug. 30, 2011 Base Legal Office MINOT AIR FORCE BASE, N.D. -- On Aug. 10, a general court-martial was convened to hear the case of the United States versus Airman Jeremy K. Arsenault, 5th Medical Support Squadron. Arsenault was charged with violating Article 120 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice, including two specifications of abusive sexual contact with a child between the age of 12 and 16 and one specification of indecent liberties with a child under the age of 16. Between the dates of May 28, 2010 and June 8, 2010, it was alleged that Arsenault, an Air Force Reservist who was on active duty orders, brought a 13 year-old girl from Minnesota to his billeting room on Minot Air Force Base. During that time, Arsenault engaged in sexual contact with the girl and photographed her topless. Arsenault was found guilty and sentenced to 21 months confinement, reduction to E-1, and a bad conduct discharge. Arsenault will be required to register as a sex offender. Special Courts-Martial 1) On Aug. 17, a special court-martial was convened to hear the case of United States versus Airman 1st Class Jessie J. Chargois, 91st Missile Security Forces Squadron. Chargois was charged with violating Article 112a of the Uniform Code of Military Justice for wrongful use of marijuana and Article 134 for wrongful use and introduction of spice. Between the dates of June 1, 2010 and Feb. 23 2011, it was alleged that Chargois used marijuana and spice on multiple occasions and introduced onto Minot AFB, spice. Chargois was found guilty of wrongful use of marijuana and spice and was sentenced to a bad conduct discharge and reduction to E-1. 2) On Aug. 29, a special court-martial was convened to hear the case of United States versus Airman 1st Class Gabriel G. Vidalez, 91st Missile Security Forces Squadron. Vidalez was charges with violating Article 92 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice for wrongful use of spice and Article 134 of the UCMJ for wrongfully using spice prior to Jan. 3, 2011 and wrongful distribution of spice. Between Oct. 1, 2010 and Jan. 31 2011, it was alleged that Vidalez wrongfully used and distributed spice to fellow airmen. Vidalez was found guilty of and was sentenced to 21 days of confinement, forfeiture of $500 for one month and reduction to E-1. Summary Court-Martial On Aug. 17, a summary court-martial was convened to hear the case of United States versus Airman 1st Class Kendric T. Webb, 5th Security Forces Squadron. Webb was charged with violating Article 107 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice for providing a false statement to investigators. Webb was found guilty and sentenced to an E-2 rank reduction, 15 days restriction to base, and 15 days of hard labor without confinement.
