CSA card policy change update

Effective immediately, the Controlled Spend Account card, formerly known as the Government Travel Card, may only be used for expenses related to official government travel.

Personal use of the CSA card is no longer authorized. Payments in excess of overall expenditures placed on the CSA card, after completion of official travel, can be obtained by the traveler using one of the following options:

1) Electronic funds transfer to a personal account through Citi's online access system or by calling directly at 1-877-784-1407. Transactions usually take 48 to 72 hours and there is no charge.

2) Travelers may request funds by check. Mailed check transactions usually take 14 business days and there is no charge. Call Citi at the number above to request check refunds.

3) A refund check will automatically be mailed to the cardholder after 60 days of inactivity on the account. Mailed check transactions usually take 14 business days and there is no charge.

4) Fund withdrawal from an Automated Teller Machine. Traveler has immediate access to funds up to the $500, ATM limit; however, ATM service fees and Citibank's surcharge of 2 percent are not reimbursable.
