Threatt, a 5th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron weapons loader, at the Northern Lights Chapel here, Oct. 17. Threatt contributed much to his squadron and the surrounding community. He is remembered by his fellow Airmen as a whole-hearted person who always put his friends and family before his own needs, a meticulous weapons loader, and a team player. "Jonathan's honesty and loyalty garnered him many deep friendships around the base," said Lt. Col. David Boles, 5th AMXS commander. "He was an excellent young man and Airman who handled responsibilities in a superb manner. He had a competitive attitude and an eagerness to learn, which was contagious to those he worked with. He was ambitious, and he always put others before himself." "As an Airman, Jonathan was always prepared to support and defend his country," Boles continued. "His friends and family can take pride in knowing that his patriotism, loyalty and work ethic made our community and our Air Force a better place. Without any doubt, he served his country honorably and with distinction." Base leadership expressed condolences to the family members and friends affected by the loss. "Our prayers go out to his father, his mother, his entire family, and his friends," said Boles. "We are paying our last respects to truly one of the nation's finest. He answered the call, he joined the Air Force, he served our nation, and he was a great friend. He will be missed by all of us." Threatt entered active duty in 2007 and had been on station at Minot Air Force Base, N.D., since July 2010. He maintained a 3.9 grade point average while working on his Community College of the Air Force degree.
