Cinderella Boutique seeks donated items Published Nov. 16, 2011 Cinderella Boutique Committee MINOT AIR FORCE BASE, N.D. -- Scheduled to open here in early 2012 is the Cinderella Boutique which is designed to offer attire lending services to those holding valid military ID's. Designed as an alternative to purchase, the Cinderella Boutique will allow many the opportunity to select from a donated inventory of new, clean and gently-used women's special occasion apparel and accessories. This will help meet the clothing needs of many who wish to participate in the numerous and varied military functions at Minot AFB, as well as other special events. Attire will be lent to members who will then simply be required to return the borrowed item unaltered and professionally dry-cleaned at a later time. Similar attire-for-loan services have enjoyed great success at other military bases and the Cinderella Boutique Committee expects equal enthusiasm and success here. The committee is currently seeking donations of new, clean, or gently-used women's formal and semi-formal wear, party/prom attire, shoes and purses. "All such contributions to this most worthy effort are greatly appreciated and will help make it a success," said Barbara Faulkner, Committee Member. Donations marked "Cinderella Boutique" may be dropped off at Building 157, 220 Missile Ave., Minot AFB (shared building space with the Airman's Attic) Mondays and Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Thursdays from 5 to 7 p.m. or anytime at the Thrift Shop, Bldg 134, 211 Tanker Trail (across from the gym).
