The Airman's Attic goal has always been to take care of Team Minot Airmen, but for the Attic to continue to do so, Minot's Airmen must also continue to take care of it as well.

Recently the Minot AFB Chiefs Group presented volunteers from the Airman's Attic a check donation of $150 dollars to help supply them with funds to buy cleaning supplies and other necessities to help keep the store open.

"The only way to manage the Airman's Attic is through volunteer help," said Chief Master Sgt. David McLain, 91st Missile Wing interim command chief.

The Airman's Attic is run entirely through volunteer work and has no budget.

Anyone 10 years of age or older is welcome to volunteer and donations are always welcome. Airmen and their families who have received donations from the attic are greatly encouraged to volunteer as well. Even if a volunteer can only provide 15 minutes of their time, it is greatly appreciated.

For those interested in volunteering but have trouble finding time in their schedule, let the Airman's Attic know. Hours of volunteer work are flexible to ensure the Airman's Attic stays open.

Every year the Airman's Attic helps support hundreds of Airmen and it is up to volunteers to ensure it continues to do so. The Airman's Attic currently supports more than 800 families on base.

The Airman's Attic is open to ranks E-5 and below every Monday and Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and every Thursday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. All ranks may peruse the attic shelves every first Thursday and last two Wednesdays of each month.

Those interested in volunteering at the Airman's Attic should contact their staff at 723-1818.
