October Article 15s Published Nov. 14, 2012 By Minot Air Force Base Legal Office MINOT AIR FORCE BASE, N.D. -- In October 2012, the following Minot Air Force Base service members were punished under Article 15 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice: An airman from the 5th Logistics Readiness Squadron received suspended forfeiture of $200 pay per month for two months, 30 days extra duty and a reprimand for one violation of Article 92, Minor in Consumption. A master sergeant from the 5th Medical Group received a reduction in rank to technical sergeant, 14 days extra duty, suspended, and a reprimand for two violations of Article 107, False Official Statement and one violation of Article 134, Unprofessional Relationship. An airman first class from the 5th Medical Operations Squadron received a suspended reduction in rank to airman, forfeiture of $210 pay per month for two months, 14 days extra duty and a reprimand for four violations of Article 86, AWOL. A staff sergeant from the 5th Security Forces Squadron received a suspended reduction in rank to senior airman, forfeiture of $1,181 pay per month for two months, and 45 days extra duty for one violation of Article 107, False Official Statement and one violation of Article 134, Contributing Alcohol to Minor. A senior airman from the 5th SFS received a suspended reduction in rank to airman first class and 45 days extra duty for one violation of Article 89, Disrespect towards a Superior Commissioned Officer. An airman first class from the 5th SFS received a reduction in rank to airman and suspended forfeiture of $835 pay per month for two months for two violations of Article 92, Minor in Consumption and Dereliction of Duty. An airman first class from the 5th SFS received a reduction in rank to airman, 30 days extra duty, suspended, and a reprimand for one violation of Article 92, Possessing an Open Container of Alcohol. An airman first class from the 5th SFS received a reduction in rank to airman, 30 days extra duty, suspended, and a reprimand for one violation of Article 92, Possessing an Open Container of Alcohol. A staff sergeant from the 705th Munitions Squadron received a reduction in rank to senior airman and a reprimand for one violation of Article 111, Driving Under the Influence. A staff sergeant from the 705th Munitions Squadron received a reduction to senior airman and a reprimand for two violations of Article 134, Discredit to Service. A captain from the 742nd Missile Squadron received forfeiture of $2,515 pay per month for two months and a reprimand for one violation of Article 111, Driving Under the Influence, one violation of Article 133, Conduct Unbecoming an Officer, and one violation of Article 134, Communicating a Threat. A senior airman from the 91st Missile Security Forces Squadron received a reduction in rank to airman first class, suspended forfeiture of $990 pay per month for two months and 30 days extra duty for two violations of Article 86, AWOL and Failure to go to Appointed place of Duty. A senior airman from the 91st MSFS received a reduction in rank to airman first class and suspended forfeiture of $990 pay per month for two months for one violation of Article 92, Dereliction of Duty. A senior airman from the 91st MSFS received a reduction in rank to airman, with reduction below airman first class suspended, suspended forfeiture of $990 pay per month for two months and 45 days extra duty for one violation of Article 92, Dereliction of Duty. An airman first class from the 91st MSFS received a reduction in rank to airman basic, with reduction below airman suspended, suspended forfeiture of $745 pay per month for two months, and 30 days extra duty for one violation of Article 86, AWOL. An airman first class from the 91st MSFS received a reduction in rank to airman basic, with reduction below airman suspended, suspended forfeiture of $745 pay per month for two months, and 45 days extra duty for one violation of Article 92, Dereliction of Duty. An airman first class from the 91 MSFS received a reduction to airman basic, with reduction below airman suspended, suspended forfeiture of $745 pay per month for two months, 45 days restriction to Minot Air Force Base, and 45 days extra duty for one violation of Article 112, Drunk on Duty. Along with nonjudicial punishment under Article 15 of the UCMJ, members who commit misconduct are subject to other adverse actions. This includes Administrative Discharge Actions and Administrative Demotions. Additional misconduct may be met with more severe adverse actions, such as trial by court-martial.
