More than 200 Airmen assigned to the 5th Bomb Wing, as well as six B-52H Stratofortresses from the 23rd Bomb squadron, deployed to the Asia-Pacific Region March 29.

The Teams deployed as part of the ongoing United States Pacific Command's Continuous Bomber Presence mission.

The rotation of bombers to the Western Pacific has been active since March 2004 supporting PACOM's mission of maintaining security and stability in the region. The deployment offers Airmen a chance to refine their abilities in a deployed environment by providing them with an opportunity to exercise skills and capabilities, while working alongside other agencies.

The Continuous Bomber Presence in the Pacific supports an important mission critical to national security, demonstrating our capabilities to both deter our enemies and assure allies.
