Media Advisory: Chairman of Joint Chiefs of Staff set to visit Minot AFB Published June 13, 2013 Minot Air Force Base Public Affairs MINOT AIR FORCE BASE, N.D. -- As part of a previously scheduled base visit, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Army Gen. Martin E. Dempsey, will conduct a base visit and town hall meeting June 17. As the senior ranking member of the Armed Forces, General Dempsey is the principal military adviser to the President, Secretary of Defense, and the National Security Council. Media interested in attending the event should RSVP to Capt. Genieve David at (701) 723-4003 no later than 2 p.m. June 14. There will not be a separate Q & A session or pull-aside interviews. Media attending should meet at the Minot AFB Golf Course parking lot for transportation on June 17 no later than 3 p.m. Government transportation will depart the gate for the event promptly at 3 p.m.
