NEWS RELEASE: Aerial Mosquito Spraying to occur at Minot AFB Published June 19, 2013 By Minot Air Force Base Public Affairs MINOT AIR FORCE BASE, N.D. -- The base has requested assistance from the 910th Airlift Wing's Air Force Aerial Spray Squadron, to conduct aerial spraying for mosquito control at the base, Minot, and Williston. The spraying will be conducted this summer with the first time between 30 June and 3 July and the second application will occur between 14 and 19 July. The squadron, from Youngstown Air Reserve Station, Ohio, will be applying U.S. Environmental Protection Agency registered pesticides. Adult mosquito control will occur between the hours of 7 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. The applications will be made using a modified C-130H cargo aircraft at 150 ft above ground level.
