A1C Cameron Maxfield is a missile communications technician with the 91st Missile Maintenance Squadron. Originally from Fort Hood, Texas, he became a member of Team Minot in September 2019.

“I really like being a part of Team Minot,” said Maxfield. “People here are great, leadership here is great, I made a lot of great friends and enjoy being here.”

As a missile communications technician, Maxfield provides hardened, survivable communications to missile launch control centers. Those means of communication may serve to offer multiple channels for emergency action messages to reach missile combat crews straight from the President of the United States.

“My favorite part of the mission would definitely be being a part of the team that gets the LCC [Launch Control Center] online when the communication goes down,” said Martin.

Through radio waves, satellites or hardened cabling, Maxfield helps bring mission-essential communications capabilities to the Minuteman III launch control centers.

When he is off duty, he spends his time maintaining his physical fitness and is pursuing his Bachelor’s degree in mathematics with hopes to eventually commission as an officer.
