John Jeziorske is a veteran who works on Minot Air Force Base and is the Executive Director for the Community Action Board, Chair of the Minot Community Action Team and is the focal point for all things resilience for Minot AFB, including the Master Resilience Trainer program. He works with all the helping agencies on base to help commanders and build resiliency within the community.

“Ultimately, the teams I work with are working hard to improve the grit and quality-of-life for the Airmen and families of Minot AFB.” said Jeziorske.

Born in Milwaukee, WI, he grew up in Grafton, WI and joined the Air Force at 18. He retired from active duty as the 5th Medical Operations Squadron Superintendent in 2011. After his time here in Minot, he moved to Texas where he met his wife who was stationed there at the time and is currently active duty. In 2018, his wife was asked to volunteer to come to Minot AFB and would bring Jeziorske back to Minot where he would become the Community Support Coordinator.

He spoke on how the community is special to him and that despite the challenges faced, such as the mission, weather and location to name a few, the community always rises above those challenges and that he enjoys being a part of that process.

When asked about his favorite part of the mission, Jeziorske said, “Not to sound cliché, but it is the people. I have had the opportunity to meet and work with some of the best people I have ever met because of our unique mission and location. This base has the responsibility for 2/3 of the Nuclear Triad.  We are excellent at what we do and that is because of the people.

He says having a sense of purpose and all the opportunities to help people keeps him motivated and moving forward. In his free time he stays active in his community by volunteering and is getting back into gaming which allows him to stay connected with friends he served with all over the world.

Additionally, he is an avid football fan and is a big fan of the Green Bay Packers.
