JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-LACKLAND, Texas -- The Air Force Services Center recently released the winners of the 2019 Air Force Art Contest.

The contest, which runs Nov. 1-30 each year, is designed to highlight and celebrate creative works by Airmen and their families around the globe.

More than 900 artists submitted more than 1,400 pieces of art this year using a variety of media.

Adult Accomplished Winners
1st Place: Nick Malin, McConnell AFB, Kansas, “Hide & Seek” oil painting on canvas
2nd Place: Jenna Ervin, Schriever AFB, Colorado, “Jai Yen” oil painting on canvas
3rd Place: Eleanor Puetz, Offutt AFB, Nebraska, “5 and Fire” pencil

Adult Novice Winners
1st Place: Jazmine McDuffie, Minot AFB, North Dakota, “Lady of Many Colors” acrylic and water paint
2nd Place: Danny Phillips, Tinker AFB, Oklahoma, “Duck” acrylic
3rd Place: Randi Nelson, U.S. Air Force Academy, Colorado, “Cream” graphite, charcoal, colored pencil and ink

Youth Ages 6-8 Winners

Winners in each category received $400, $300 and $200 gift cards for first, second and third place respectively.
