The 5th Operations Support Squadron’s Host Aviation Resource Management Office and Wing Scheduling office combined with the 23rd and 69th Bomb Squadron Aviation Resource Management offices relocate to the Alert Facility as Alert Force Controllers during all nuclear exercises and generations. Their Team beds down all aircrew and maintenance personnel from both the 2nd and 5th Bomb Wings while maintaining control and accountability of aircrew members in Alert status. Alert Controllers closely coordinate and monitor aircrew movements in conjunction with the Nuclear Operations Center Chief located within the Pride Building. The two teams work together to maintain constant situational awareness of the combined 2nd and 5th Bomb Wing Nuclear Alert Force in Support of all local, MAJCOM, and COCOM exercises, generations and inspections.
