MINOT AIR FORCE BASE, N.D. -- Many residents of Minot and surrounding communities began to feel the effects of the flood here, Jun.22.  By noon, the river crested over the levees and the warning sirens sounded requiring the immediate evacuation of more than 11,000 Minot residents.  On June 27, 2011, Mouse River pressures and heights will reach unprecedented levels—seven to ten feet higher than the all time record with pressures reaching approximately 16,000 cubic feet per second. MINOT AIR FORCE BASE, N.D. -- The flooding situation in Minot and its surrounding communities was brought about by an overflow of the Souris River, which caused an evacuation of more than 11,000 Minot residents, including 1,178 Airmen and their families, June 20.
