MINOT AIR FORCE BASE, N.D. -- The flooding situation in Minot and its surrounding communities was brought about by an overflow of the Souris River, which caused an evacuation of more than 11,000 Minot residents, including 1,178 Airmen and their families, June 20. Base leadership has transitioned to flood recovery operations and have begun planning for long term care of displaced Airmen and their families. (U.S. Air Force photo/Staff Sgt. Keith Ballard)
