The 5th Operations Support Squadron's Aircrew Flight Equipment's Aircraft Support Section inspects, maintains, and installs B-52 ejection seat survival kits/parachutes for aviator survivability and aircraft deceleration. They perform rapid pre-flight response for aircrew experiencing helmeted-oxygen system and aircrew-ejection seat integration malfunctions. The team also works closely with the 5th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron and the 5th Maintenance Squadron, ensuring the best life sustaining equipment is pre-positioned on the 5th Bomb Wing's aircraft both at home and abroad.
