The 91st Missile Wing, through their extraordinary and exemplary support of the U.S. Strategic Command’s (USSTRATCOM) strategic deterrence mission, has been awarded the 2019 Omaha Trophy for the Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) category.

The 5th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron consists of 2 Aircraft Maintenance unit Specialist Sections the 23d and 69th AMU with a total of 237 maintenance professionals spanning across 6 Air Force specialties including Communications/Navigation, Instruments/Flight Controls, Electronic Counter Measures, Jet Engine Mechanics, Hydraulics and Electrical/Environmental systems. Each contributes to bombs on target through expertly troubleshooting their systems on the mighty B-52H Stratofortress, the USAF's longest flying and premiere bomber. In addition to their primary duties, the Specialist sections assist with the shared flightline tasks of aircraft tow, deicing, wash, refuel, defuel and jacking. “One Team One Fight”.
