Colonel MATTHEW J. CROSMAN

Col Matthew J. Crosman is the Deputy Commander, 91st Missile Wing, Minot Air Force Base (AFB), N.D. In this role, he assists the wing’s 1,800 personnel as they operate, maintain, and secure 150 Minuteman III ICBMs, 15 missile alert facilities, and 150 remote launch facilities located throughout an 8,500 square-mile missile complex in North Dakota. Combat-ready Airman provide a safe, secure, and reliable nuclear capability to credibly hold at risk targets worldwide, ever-poised to accomplish the Air Force’s core mission of global strike.

Col Crosman was commissioned through the ROTC program at the University Massachusetts at Amherst. He entered the Air Force in January of 2004 and completed ICBM Initial Qualification Training in August 2004. Col Crosman has a unique and extensive breadth of knowledge in nuclear operations, having served in multiple positions at the operational and strategic levels to include ICBM Code Controller, Master ICBM Instructor, Emergency Actions Officer, and Strike Advisor to Commander United States Pacific Command (PACOM). In 2014, he was selected for assignment at the White House Military Office where he worked on Continuity of the Presidency programs and trained Military Aides to the President and Vice President on their nuclear roles and responsibilities. Col Crosman has also served as an ICBM staff officer at the wing, Numbered Air Force and Combatant Command levels.

Prior to his current assignment, the colonel was the Director of Logistics, Programs and Requirements, Twentieth Air Force, F. E. Warren AFB.
